Residents of high rise societies in Greater Noida West on Tuesday offered their prayers to Lord Chitragupt. It was celebrated just after the Diwali in honour of Lord Chitragupt.
The worship is done by Kayastha community mostly belonging to North India. A group of residents in Ecovillage- 2 in placed idol of lord Chitragupta and chanted bhajan with tradition. Similarly, residents of Ace City, another society in Greater Noida West organised Chitragupta Puja.
As per the Hindu mythology, it is believed that Lord Chitragupt is responsible for keeping the records of human being's deeds on the earth.
On Tuesday, people belonging to many high rises came together to celebrate the day. It is believed that Lord Chitragupt blesses a person by removing illiteracy and poverty.
Apart from the Kayastha community, this worship is also considered to be important for the business persons.
