Mahalaxmi Apartments is one of the biggest societies of Dwarka. It was constructed in the late nineties and members started getting possession from 2000. On the formation of the Cooperative Group and the significance of the founder members, President of the Society, KN Yadav says, “The Society is a CGHS( Cooperative Group Housing Society) for which the group was formed basically by the people from ‘Yadav’ Community. They were the residents of Madipur Village. Earlier this group was to get a plot at Pashchim Vihar but due to lack of funds it got delayed and after re-apply for the land, DDA allotted the plot in Dwarka. The Society has been developed on a land of an area 5 acre and it has 207 flats.”The flats of the Society are 2 BHK plus Study and 3 BHK.There is a big central park, walk way and ample parking space inside the Society.
The society is located along two Master Plan Road. The Road from Dabri to Dwarka is just crosses the society’s front while the Master Plan Road Number 201 touches the next corner of the society. Accessibility of the society from public transport is easier than the Metro as many Bus Routes like 721,803,850,764,791,RL 75,RL 79,RL 77, 764,West Mudrika 768,761 RTVs, Metro Feeders etc cross from the society’s front. There is a bus stand after the name of the society ‘Mahalaxmi Bus Stop’.The nearest Metro Station to the society is Sector 9, Sector 10 and Sector 11. From Sector 9 and 10 RTVs, Auto Rickshaws etc can take you to the society in mere 10-15 minutes.
The security system of the society is equipped with 32 CCTV cameras and 8 guards round the clock. Besides that verification of tenants, maids, new member and other people who use to work in the society need police verification. A register is always maintained for the entry and exit of the visitors.
