Residents of Express Park View society in Sector Chi 5 of Greater Noida are a harassed lot. They say the builder, Nimbus Group, has not been giving them the facilities they had initially promised them.
Residents allege that the builder has raised maintenance charges from Rs 2.25 per sq ft to Rs 3 per sq ft. However, despite this increase, the builder doesn't ensure residents at least get clean drinking water.
Pawan Goel, a resident, told City Spidey that about 20 days ago, a sewer pipeline got damaged, and since then residents are getting contaminated sewer-mixed water in their flats. This poses serious health risks, they say, but the builder is not bothered. Azhar Khan, another resident, said that the builder was not even willing to speak to them about the problem.
Residents say they have no problem paying the builder the increased rate, given they at least have clean drinking water at home and not have to depend on packaged drinking water.
When City Spidey tried to contact the builder, he refused to talk. Seems like there is indeed something fishy going on.
