Members of Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) have written a letter to UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's office, seeking an appointment with him to discuss the problems faced by homebuyers.

The letter stated that people in Noida are worried, as many builders have not given them possession of their flats and are trying to buy time with false promises and delayed deadlines.

The letter further stated that those who have got possession of flats are not happy with the facilities being provided by the builder. In some places, plaster on the walls is peeling off, while in others, doors and windows stand in a dilapidated condition. In the light of the services provided by the builders, the high maintenance charges are not justified.

It also added that Noida Authority has laid down certain norms to check the strength of the newly made structures, but it was not doing its work in accordance with these.

Speaking to City Spidey, Abhishek Kumar, president of NEFOWA, said, “We would like to meet our chief minister personally, and share our problems with him.” Kumar added that he wanted Akhilesh Yadav to intervene and get the Noida authorities to talk tough to the builders.
