FedAOA, the apex body of AOAs in Ghaziabad, has decided to conduct an anti-drug campaign with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Indirapuram. The campaign, named "Say No To Drugs", will most likely start in the first week of August.
Speaking to City Spidey, Alok Kumar, president of FedAOA, said that they had decided to take the initiative after several instances of drug abuse among students and the youth of Indirapuram.
He also said that the campaign was aimed at educating residents on the perils of drug abuse. Activities such as painting competitions, group discussions between parents and residents, and speeches by experts will be part of the campaign.
Kumar also said that the drive would be conducted on the lines of anti-drug campaigns in Punjab and Delhi. The members of FedAOA will soon meet the NCB officials to finalise the dates.
