Flatbuyers of Amrapali Princely Estate, a residential project in Sector 76, Noida, met the CMD of Amrapali Group, Anil Sharma, in his Sector 62 office in Noida today. Their sole agenda: quick possession of flats.

About 100 flatowners of M, N, O and P towers took part in the meeting. They spoke to Sharma about the pending finishing touches to the towers, including electricity connection, water supply and installation of lifts.

Anuj Tripathi, a buyer, who was also present at the meeting, told City Spidey that flatbuyers had asked the builder to give them the exact date of possession. “When we asked Anil Sharma to start the pending finishing work on these towers, which had stopped two years back, he said he would be able to do that only if the buyers paid him the possession amount in advance. However, buyers are supposed to pay this money only when they get the possession letter. This is illegal and unethical. If he persists, owners will be left with no option but to knock on the doors of the court,” he said.

"However," Triapthi added, "The builder assured us that the installation of lifts would be completed by October this year, after which he would be able to provide possession letters to all buyers.”

When City Spidey contacted Sharma, he said that only 30 to 40 per cent of the finishing work was left, which would be completed shortly. “Buyers will get possession by next year,” he confirmed.

The project has 16 towers in all. Of them, possession of flats have been given in 12 towers, but M, N, O and P are yet to be finished.
