Man's best friend?

Residents of Sector 34 have mixed feelings about the aggressive dogs in the Sector.

Man's best friend?

Vipin Puri has been bitten. Twice.

He is among many residents of Sector 34, Noida, who have been attacked by aggressive dogs residing in the area. Most want them ousted.

"Why keep stray dogs in the sector when we humans are struggling for space? They should be driven away," says MC Bharadwaj, General Secretary of the RWA.

On the other hand is resident Kiran Sharma, a member of Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Kiran loves these dogs and the dogs love her back. And why not? She feeds them and her doors are open for them at all times. She even got the male dogs vaccinated and the females sterilised.

Kiran doesn't want them out.

"There is no love and affection left in humans. Dogs are affectionate, they just need some love. They are like my children. Driving them away would be like snatching away kids from a mother, "says Kiran.

The situation is a deadlock. What's the solution?
