FedAOA Ghaziabad all set to hold elections

City Spidey spoke to a couple of Indirapuram residents to find out what they want from the newly elected board members.

FedAOA Ghaziabad all set to hold elections

Federation of Apartment Owners Association (FedAOA) is all set to hold an election to re-elect a third of its board members. The members contesting are Pooja Shrivastava, Sanjay Marhatta, Amrish Garg and PM Razdan. The election dates are yet to be finalised.

Issues such as formation of the election committee and adoption of the audited accounts for the financial year will be discussed at the federation's annual general body meeting. The meeting will be held at the FedAOA office at Arihant Harmony in Ahinsa Khand 2, Indirapuram, at 11 am on August 14.

FedAOA abides by the UP Apartment Act, 2010, and over 88 residential societies from all over Ghaziabad are registered with the apex body.

City Spidey spoke to residents of Indirapuram for feedback to get an idea of their demands. Rakesh Kumar, general secretary of Amrapali Village, lauded the federation's efforts in tackling problems faced by the AOAs. "It would be great if FedAOA decentralises itself and involves other residents to relieve stress on the board members. It can be a more efficient body that way," opined Kumar.

Rajeev Munshi, a resident of Gaur Valerio, told City Spidey that FedAOA must closely monitor the functioning of all the AOAs registered with it. "The new body must continue the federation's efforts for a local office for the registrar. Also, more follow-ups with competent authorities to resolve the issues of residents are essential," added Munshi.
