Century Apts, Sec 100: Residents irked at Noida Authority

Residents of Century Apartments, an MIG colony in Sector 100 of Noida, are not happy with Noida Authority. They claimed that the Authority had neither been maintaining the society park nor collecting garbage from the society dump yard.

Residents said that the garbage lying in the dump yard had been stinking up the entire area since days. They also said that swings installed in the society's parks were broken and the lawns were poorly maintained.

Rakesh Mehra, a resident of the society, told City Spidey that they had pooled in some money to get the swings repaired. "We have somehow maintained one of the three parks," said Mehra. "The authority needs to breathe fresh life into the parks as soon as possible."

Sanjeev Singh, the society's RWA treasurer, said that the RWA members had met the Authority officials several times and written to them but there had been no action so far.

When City Spidey contacted Omvir Singh, director of horticulture department of Noida Authority, he said that the maintenance work of all parks across Noida had already started and the Sector 100 parks would receive due attention soon.
