SS Chowhan, president of the Radhika Apartments, said, “We have a Krishna-themed fancy-dress competition for kids. They are also preparing a dance drama to mark the occasion.”

Jyoti Prasad, president of Sadbhavna Apartments, Sector 22, said, “We will be celebrating the festival in our temple. The programme will be managed by the women of the society.”

For Iskcon Temple in Sector 13, celebrations already began last week. The temple is expecting about 4.5 lakh visitors this year. Vice-president of Iskcon Dwarka, Amogh Leela Das, said, “We began with a talk on Lord Krishna’s life. This was followed by a drama and a kirtan yatra. People from societies across Dwarka participated in the programme. We also had painting, classical dance and singing competitions for the children. Today, we had organised a Dwarka Leela; tomorrow it’s going to be Mathura Leela.”

Vidya Bhushan, a member of Iskcon Dwarka and a resident of Gold Croft society in Sector 12, spoke of an interesting event named "Kaun Banega Krishna Ka Devotee" to be held tomorrow, conceptualised along the lines of the popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati. In this, participants will be quizzed on Lord Krishna’s life. Those interested can register today, or opt for spot registration tomorrow.

At Golok Dham in Sector 10, celebrations will be held tomorrow from 6 pm till midnight. Krishna Leela will be the biggest draw of the day.
