Noida dresses up for Janmashtami

Noida temples and societies are all dressed up to celebrate Lord Krishna's birthday.

Uma Rawat, a resident of Grand Omaxe, Sector 93B, Noida, says they are excited about celebrations and that they have a bhajan performance by the women of the society lined up.

Residents of Eldeco Utopia, Sector 93A, too, have events organised for tomorrow. Manju Bhatia, a resident, says celebrations will begin from 5.30 pm with religious music. Shyam Khosla, the main organiser, says this year about 70 children have registered their names for the Krishna Leela act. "There is also a tableau on Lord Krishna lined up, which will be taken around the society," he adds.

Other societies, such as Prateek Laurel, Mahagun Manor and Park View, are also looking forward to Janmashtami celebrations. Vibha Sharma, a resident of Prateek Laurel, said, “It’s beautiful to see children enact the Krishna Leela. Also, the temple has been done up so beautifully.”
