This is what GDA, FedAOA and Indirapuram residents discussed

Members of FedAOA met GDA officials to discuss the civic issues of residential societies in Indirapuram on September 9. Here are the key points discussed at the meeting:

Weekly OSD visits

It was decided that DP Singh, OSD of GDA, along with other officials, will visit at least two societies of Indirapuram every Saturday to understand their problems.

Online payment of sewer and water charges

GDA officials requested AOA heads to provide details of apartment owners to prepare a database and register individual apartment owners, which would enable residents to generate and pay bills via GDA's official website. Officials also said that such a platform will make the entire process convenient.

Low pressure of supply water

Residents complained that the pressure of water supplied by GDA was usually quite low. In some societies, they alleged, there was no water supply. Chakresh Jain, executive engineer of GDA, told residents that the officials were exploring the possibility of setting up a booster pump station in Ahinsa Khand 2 to resolve the problem.

Unauthorised construction

The issue of builders violating the rules of the UP Apartment Act, 2010, was also discussed at the meeting. DP Singh, OSD of GDA, assured residents that notices would be issued according to Section 25 of the UP Apartment Act, 2010, to all real estate developers guilty of illegal constructions and deviating from approved layout plans.

Dismal condition of roads

Residents of Ahinsa Khand 2 raised the issue. GDA officials had earlier planned to defer the construction of new roads as the laying of new sewer lines was yet to be carried out. They, however, that repairs would be carried out on bad patches at the earliest. They also assured residents that the laying of new sewer lines would be sped up.

Cleaning of roads

Speaking about the cleaning of roads and the performance of sweepers and other maintenance personnel, Chakresh Jain, executive engineer of GDA, told residents that he was exploring the possibility of appointing volunteers from AOAs to supervise and approve payments.

Renaming Tikona Park

Members of FedAOA also handed a letter to Vijay Kumar Yadav, vice-chairman of GDA, to rename the Tikona Park in Vaibhav Khand in memory of (Late) Captain Devinder Singh Jass, a martyr and Kirti Chakra Awardee from Mahagun Mansion Phase 1.
