A 26-year-old man died after a fall from the third floor of Ashirvad Apartments in Dwarka's Sector 16B on September 12. Onlookers said the incident occurred around 7 in the evening. Police officials said the deceased had been identified as Sourabh Ghai, a radio-taxi driver from Uttam Nagar. Ghai was over at his friend's third-floor apartment, from where he fell.

Geeta Tiwari, a resident who witnessed the incident, said, "I was taking a walk when I noticed something fall from the third floor. I initially thought the balcony had given way. When I went closer, I, along with a few other people who had seen the fall, were shocked to find the body completely naked."

Residents informed the police that Amit Puri, 31, was living on rent in the flat. Puri is an engineer working in a Gurgaon BPO. After the incident, police has taken Puri in its custody for questioning, whereas Ghai’s body has been sent for post-mortem.

Police is suspecting sexual relations between Ghai and Puri. Said a police officer, “He was naked, and was at his friend’s house. We suspect a case of Section 377 [voluntary carnal intercourse against the order of nature] under IPC.” According to the police in the preliminary probe, both Ghai and Puri were found to have consumed alcohol.

Police said Ghai had left his house in Uttam Nagar around 5 pm telling his mother that he was going to watch a movie with his friends. Sources said Puri had told interrogators that he and Ghai met on Facebook about three weeks back and had decided to meet at his place. Sources said that Puri had asked Ghai to come with a bottle of liquor to celebrate their friendship.
