Gaur Valerio: When is the next AOA election?
Residents of Gaur Valerio, an Indirapuram society, are growing impatient with the delay in the election of a new AOA body. They say the election process, which should have been completed three months ago, is yet to be initiated.

Residents blame the lackadaisical attitude of the district administration, responsible for conducting the elections. Rajeev Munshi, a resident and a former member of the now-defunct AOA, told City Spidey that despite approaching the district administration a number of times about the issue, there hasn't been any progress.

Residents allege that a handful of members from the previous AOA were forcibly holding their posts and resisting new elections to misuse society funds collected in the form of maintenance charges. They also suspect that some members of the now-defunct AOA are hand-in-glove with the district administration.

Earlier in August, residents and AOA members of Gaur Valerio had held a general body meeting to begin the society's election process. The initiative was taken following orders from the sub-divisional magistrate. But Munshi maintained that this attempt, too, fell flat on its face, as it was not followed up by the administration.

City Spidey took up the issue with Nidhi Kesarwani, district magistrate of Ghaziabad. Kesarwani said she would get to the root of the problem.
