United India Apts invites all residents to brainstorm on society issues

The managing committee of United India Apartments in Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension held a first-of-its-kind meeting on November 27. The meeting involved all residents of the 25-year-old society and discussed issues they faced as a collective body and the way forward for the overall development of the society. The committee said many more such meetings would follow.

Purusottam Das Bhatt, president of the managing committee, said the committee had divided all residents into three groups. “Each group will have 58 residents. The managing committee will hold meetings with one group at a time, discussing and noting down its issues. We will also encourage residents to suggest solutions to problems.”

“We took this step to ensure 100 per cent participation from residents,” he added. “Their participation is vital, as it will have a direct effect on our society’s future. With the entire society brainstorming, I’m sure we will come up with some effective solutions.”

Issues of parking, renovation, water supply, electricity, monthly maintenance, new developments and encroachments are set to be discussed at length.

“Our budget and revenues will also be discussed at the meetings,” said Bhuwan Singh, a managing committee member.
