Is Supertech Capetown downgrading its security?

Why a local agency, ask residents, especially when they have paid one of the highest maintenance charges in the area.

Is Supertech Capetown downgrading its security?

Residents of Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, Noida, are unhappy with the society's maintenance staff for deciding to replace the reputed security agency with a local one.

The society's security is currently under the charge of SIS (Security & Intelligence Service India Limited), a reputed service provider in this field.

Residents said that if the maintenance team wanted to change the security agency, they should have gone for an upgrade, not hired a local one. Residents also felt that security should be priority, as they had paid a much higher maintenance charge — of Rs 2.5 per sq ft — as compared to neighbouring societies.

Ashim Mishra, a resident, told City Spidey, "A local security agency will mean local goons dressed as guards." Mishra also said that SIS guards had confided in him about not receiving their salaries for the past two months.

When City Spidey contacted Raj Kumar, the maintenance head of Supertech Capetown, he said SIS was not being able to provide the required number of security guards to the society. According to him, the performance of the guards were not up to the mark. "Some residents are apprehensive about this," said Kumar. "Residents can rest assured that only a top-notch security service will be hired." He, however, did not disclose the name of the local agency about to be hired.
