The election commission of Gautam Budh Nagar is all set to introduce two mobile apps to make the elections voter-friendly.

These apps will allow voters to search for their names in the electoral rolls and locate their polling booths with just a tap on their smartphone screens. It will also serve as a one-stop solution for voter grievances.

NP Singh, the returning officer and district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, said that once the apps were released on the app store, voters would not need to visit polling stations or get in touch with their respective booth level officers or booth level agents.

He said one of the apps, M-Voters, will be in sync with the national portal of electoral rolls and used to find any voter detail required.

The second app, Know Your Polling Station, will help voters locate their respective polling stations. Singh said the app, once released on the play store, will also show routes to polling stations.
