Ardee City residents hold a meeting with local MLA Umesh Aggarwal
Residents of Ardee City, Sector 52, Gurgaon, met local MLA Umesh Aggarwal on the evening of January 23 to discuss the problems they were facing from the builder.
The residents alleged that the builder was needlessly taking money from them in the name of maintenance. They added that despite clearing all dues, registration had still not been done and that flat owners were yet to receive their occupancy certificates.
After hearing them out, Aggarwal instructed the Town and Country Planning Department to look into the matter. He also asked the senior town planner, Yousuf Ansari, and the assistant town planner, RS Bhatt, to provide the occupancy certificates as soon as possible.
Aggarwal said, “We plan to repair the internal roads of the society. We have a budget of Rs 3 crore, and work will start shortly. We have also asked the department to organise a camp in the society to issue the occupancy certificates. We have instructed the vice-president of Ardee Infrastructure, Anil Hasija, to complete all paperwork in 15 days, so registration can be done.”
Anurag Kumar Gupta, a resident, said, “We met our MLA to discuss the wrongdoings of our builder. We have been refused ownership of our flats. I bought my flat 11 years ago! We have cleared all the dues, but the builder still refuses to proceed with registration. But now, we hope to get the certificates soon.”
Another resident, Ajay Kumar, added, “Whenever we asked for registration, the builder imposes some condition or the other. Besides, the maintenance is also horrible — the internal roads are in such bad shape. Our MLA assured us that prompt action would be taken.”
It is ironic that resident facilities at Ardee City, one of the most expensive societies in Gurgaon, are deplorable, laments Sanjay Singh, another resident. He added, “The builder has failed to provide even basic amenities, despite charging a hefty maintenance amount.”
