RWAs across the city have planned various events to mark the day, including sports, fancy dress competition, and a host of other cultural programmes.

Noida is all set to celebrate India's 68th Republic Day, with RWAs organising various events for the residents, besides flag hoisting.

BS Khatti, secretary of Rajat Vihar, block C, Sector 62, told City Spidey that flag hoisting would be held at 10 am, and the society president and Noida Authority officials would be present on the occasion. “We have organised various sports events for kids. There will be other competitions too. After all the events are over, the awards will be distributed to the winners.”

Rajeev Garg, RWA secretary of Sector 27, said, “It’s a proud day for all Indians, and we plan to celebrate it in a big way. Flag hoisting will be done by the Dinesh Yadav, SP, Noida.”

Raj Kumar, head of facilities at Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, spoke of the events at the complex. He said, “The facilities team has organised a fancy dress competition for the children on the theme of freedom fighters. Children in the age group of 2-12 years will be able to participate.”
