Supertech Capetown, Noida: Tenants forced to pay extra for club facilities

Tenants at Supertech Capetown, Sector 74, Noida, are complaining that the society’s maintenance staff has been demanding extra money to let them use the in-house club facility.

The tenants say that at the time of agreement, the owners had clearly told them that they could use the club. But from November last year, the maintenance staff started to demand extra money from people living in rented flats.

Chetan Sharma, a tenant, said, “The facility team is demanding Rs 10,000 as security money and Rs 500 per family member every month. At the time of agreement with my landlord, I had already paid the club membership fee. Why should I pay again? This is wrong.”

Shiv Gupta, an owner at Supertech Capetown, said he had raised the issue several times with the maintenance staff, but to no effect.

When City Spidey contacted Raj Kumar, head of the facility team, he said owners needn’t pay extra money for using the club, but tenants are required to do so. He added, “If they do not deposit the money, they will not be allowed to use the club.”
