The AOA’s sports committee organises a lawn tennis tournament for teenagers in the society to encourage them.

To encourage budding players in the society, the sports committee of Prateek Wisteria, Sector 77, Noida, organised a lawn tennis tournament in the society on February 19.

The tournament was organised in association with Aspire Sports Academy, a private academy for aspiring sports persons.

The tournament was a first of its kind in the society in which about 25 players of the society participated. The tournament concluded in four hours. The winners were felicitated, and given medals and certificates by Dikshit Parashar, the director of the academy.

Arnav Kaura, Adwaya Gupta,Vedant Tomar, Nivaan Mehrotra and Aarush Verma bagged the gold medals in their respective categories. Silver medals were given to Arnav Jain, Tanmay Mahajan, Samarth Raina, Vidhi Vohra and Archee Mahajan.

Neeraj Virmani, treasurer of the society, said, “This will motivate many kids to play games with more enthusiasm as many of them took home medals. Parents were also happy when their children were being given the medals. The tournament concluded successfully and the organisers are planning to host more such tournaments in the near future. This gives children an opportunity to prove their talents.”
