Residents of Antriksh Forest in Sector 77, Noida, are unhappy that despite several requests to Noida Authority over the past year or so, the society is yet to have an approach road of its own.
They said they had to drive down to the main road to receive their kids after school, as the school buses could not reach the society for the lack of a paved road.
"I have had to walk down this unpaved, dusty path for over a year to pick up my kid," said a resident of the society, who didn't wish to be named. "The Authority needs to pave a road here."
As per Noida Authority's layout, the road will start near the entrance to Skytech Matrott, another multistorey society in Sector 76, and pass through a vacant plot to reach Antriksh Forest.
S Rathi, project engineer of Antriksh Forest, said the Authority had carried out necessary site inspections and the inspection report had been forwarded to the Authority's Chief Executive Officer for further action.
"Several residents are not ready to move into their flats because the approach road is not ready," said KK Jha, a resident. "If the inspection is over, what are they still waiting for? We haven't seen any progress for the past three-four months."
Noida Authority officials said they could not take a decision as the model code of conduct for assembly elections 2017 was in effect. MC Tyagi, project engineer with the Authority, said he had forwarded the file for principal approval months ago. "The work is yet to begin as the CEO sought some clarifications with the report," he added. "We'll have to wait for the assembly elections to get over. The Authority will not be able to grant approval for a new project. Let the results be announced, and the project will be taken up on priority."
