Should Supertech Capetown be forming an AOA now?

While some residents think they should go for a resident body, others believe forming an AOA before the builder completes all construction work could be disastrous.

Should Supertech Capetown be forming an AOA now?

Residents of Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, Noida, are split into two groups. The first group is in favour of forming an AOA, while the other group wants the society to remain under the builder till major development works are complete.

Parts of the society are yet to be developed by the builder but about 2,000 of the total 5,000 flats have already been occupied.

"It's been two years that we have been living here," said Shailendra Baranwal, one of the residents in favour of forming an AOA. "It's high time that the builder handed over the society to us, so we can form our AOA."

"It will be a foolish thing to form an AOA right now, when we are still dependent on the builder to complete construction work," said Bhupendra Routela, one of the residents who are not in favour of forming an AOA right now. "We also spoke to residents of some other societies with a similar situation as ours, and they advised us to only form an AOA once construction work was complete and the builder had provided basic amenities."
