High time MCG took over these Gurgaon colonies...

Members of Gurgaon Citizen Council (GCC) along with DLF Qutub Enclave RWA president met PWD minister Rao Narbir Singh to discuss the handover of DLF Phase I, II, III, Palam Vihar and Sushant Lok I to Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG). They also handed over a memorandum to the minister.

"The director of Town and Country Planning department had ordered MCG to takeover these colonies on February 8 last year," said RS Rathee, president of DLF Qutub Enclave RWA. "But MCG is yet to take over the colonies. Till that happens, the builder will continue to charge us an exorbitant fee in the name of maintenance, while we residents continue to suffer with bad roads, frequent power cuts and scarcity of water. Neither MCG nor the builder are taking up the responsibility. MCG even charges property tax from us. We are going to meet Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar next week and discuss these issues."

TN Kaul, former president of Ardee City RWA, said, “We have been demanding MCG to take over our society several times in the past months. We also met local MLA Umesh Aggarwal to discuss the issue, but nothing has happened yet."
