Association of Neighbourhood Ladies Get-together organises event to observe International Women’s Day, where cultural programmes by women and girls of the sub city were held.

Residents of Dwarka celebrated womanhood on March 18 at a function organised by Association of Neighbourhood Ladies  Get-together, a social organisation, at the MCD park in Sector 6.

The event was held to observe International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8.

Cicily Kodiyan, president of ANHLGT and a resident of Sheetal Vihar Apartments, Sector 23, said, “Every year we celebrate International Women’s Day on any weekend in March. This is an event in which hundreds of women from across Dwarka participate.”

Women and girls took part in several cultural programmes at the event. They performed classical dance, drama and also sang at the event. The women members of the association who worked towards organising the event were given mementos. Several dignitaries from various sectors were also present on the occasion.
