It was raining colour at Uniworld Gardens on March 26.

The RWA of the society organised a painting workshop for children in the age group of 8 to 14 — and young residents leapt at the opportunity to flaunt their talent.

"We wanted to provide a platform to showcase the creativity and talent of the society's kids," said Nirlept Singh, president of the society's RWA. "And what better way to do that than through an art workshop?"

And were the organisers bowled over!

Atul Shinde, a resident and an art graduate, who helped the RWA organise the workshop, said, "It was a unique experience working with kids. They were so great! And they will love seeing their art put up on display."

Ritika Chopra, who organised the event, said, "It’s been a terrific experience. We never knew our society had so many talented artists. Most of them have done a commendable job.”

"I learnt how to work with acrylic colours and picked up a few great techniques," said Shrihaan Tandon, a 9-year-old who participated in the event.

"I'm so glad my painting will be up on the society's lobby wall," said 13-year-old Devina Singh, another participant.

Uniworld Gardens has got it right — there's nothing like some colour to lift children's spirits and their morale.
