Will visit by Authority big guns improve things for Sector 51?

Noida Authority CEO Deepak Agarwal and president of Federation of Noida RWAs (FONRWA), NP Singh, paid a visit to Sector 51 on March 31 to hear out the residents. But whether this recce will have any impact remains a question.

Residents say that many top officers from Noida Authority have visited the sector in the past — and just made tall promises.

This time too, issues concerning sanitation, encroachment, closing of gates and other persistent problems of the sector were raised before the officials.

Residents demanded the construction of a new drain line for Block F, installation of streetlights on both sides of the 18-m-wide road in the sector, maintenance of children’s park and crackdown on illegal water connections. They also asked for construction of speed breakers on main entry and exit gates.

Sanjeev Kumar, RWA secretary, Sector 51, said, “This is more like a routine visit. Earlier, Saumya Srivastava, deputy CEO, had visited, and prior to him, Rajesh Prakash, the then additional CEO. They all noted the complaints, but the issues remain unresolved even today.”
