Noida: Homebuyers of the Sector 128 township met the builder, who committed to delivering 16,000 flats in two years.

Homebuyers of Jaypee Greens Wish Town, an under construction township in Sector 128, Noida, met representatives of the builder on April 17 over possession of flats.
Buyers say that there are 24 societies in the project, with more than 300 towers built by the builder. But flats in none of the towers are ready for possession and the builder has been extending the date of possession.
Pramod Kumar, a homebuyer, told City Spidey, there was still no clarity on the possession of flats. “The builder’s representatives told us that they will submit a tower-wise schedule [of completion] to the buyers on April 29.”
“The builder said that the construction work on 40 towers will begin on April 24, on 100 towers by May 10, and on 150 towers by May 24,” Kumar said.
He added that the builder committed to delivering 8,000 flats within 12 months, and another 8,000 flats in the next 12 months.
When City Spidey spoke to Manoj Gaur, CEO of Jaypee Group, he said, “We have Rs 1,800 crore, but we need Rs 2,000 crore to complete the project. We’ve made commitments to all the buyers and will fulfil those commitments.”
Homebuyers had first reached the SP office in Sector 6, Noida, for the meeting, but found out that the venue for the meeting had been shifted to the township.
Earlier on April 15, homebuyers had gathered at the office of SSP Noida and raised slogans against Jaypee Group over the issue.
