Budget proposed for Greater Noida

Chairman of Noida and Greater Noida Development Authority Rama Raman on Monday presented the budget for the financial year 2016-2017.

The Authority has proposed Rs 7,074 crore for development.

According to the proposed budget, Greater Noida Authority (GNA) will spend Rs 1,295 crore on infrastructure development. The Authority has also proposed Rs 25 crore each on development of a night safari and an eco-park.

GNA has allotted Rs 50 crore for a multipurpose convention centre, where artistes, singers, dancers and musicians can perform together. 

It has also proposed Rs 10 crore for the development of a heliport to cater to a growing population of cricketers, movie stars and politicians in Greater Noida. A fund of Rs 210 crore has been allotted for rural development as well.

Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in 2017.
