NEFOMA head gets death threat, lodges complaint

Following a death threat over a phone call, Annu Khan, president of Noida Extension Flat Owners Main Association, along with several homebuyers gave a written complaint to Dharmendra Singh, senior superintendent of police, at his office in Surajpur, Gautam Budh Nagar. The complaint was against Vikas Bhagat, director of Intel City, a real estate company.

In his complaint, Khan apprised the SSP of a threatening call on his mobile phone on April 23. He said that the caller who identified himself as Bhagat told him that Khan was targeting or raising voice only against Hindu builders while he was a Muslim.

Khan alleged that the caller played the religious card to suppress the voice of his association against builders. He said, “The caller harassed me mentally and said that he had the support of Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi, and outfits such as Hindu Yuva Vahini and Durga Vahini. He said that he will use these outfits to vandalise my house in Noida.”

Khan added that the caller also said that he would spend a hefty amount of money to have him killed. “The caller told me that he will spend a huge sum of money to handle the police for finishing me,” he said.

Homebuyers demanded that an FIR be lodged against the director of Intel City. Shailendra Baranwal, a homebuyer, told City Spidey, “The SSP has ordered the SHO concerned to register an FIR against the director.”
