Will meetings between builder, buyers and Noida Authority become the norm? The meeting in progress at Noida Authority's Sector 6 office

Members of NCR Home Buyers’ Group, an association of buyers, and representatives of buyers from 21 projects across Noida met Amit Mohan Prasad, CEO of Noida Authority, at the Authority office in Sector 6 on May 1.

Buyers asked the Authority to conduct a tripartite meeting of the builder, buyers and Noida Authority for every project.

Rakesh Purohit, founder of NCR Home Buyers’ Group, told City Spidey that the CEO had asked the association to make a list of common issues that buyers faced and submit it within a week. After that, he promised to call a meeting with the builders, he added.

Rakesh Singh, a buyer at Gardenia Glory, a residential project in Sector 46, complained, “I booked my flat in 2010, and have paid 95 per cent of the amount. But I am still living on rent. Also, the builder has been constructing illegal shops in the earmarked green areas of the society. The Authority must act now!"

Kapil Tygai, a buyer at Amrapali Heartbeat City, a residential project in Sector 107, said, "We feel positive after the meeting. The CEO assured us he would prioritise the builder-buyer problems, and do something soon.”

According to the buyers, the CEO will soon come out with a list of dates for the tripartite meetings.
