It was a special morning for the elderly of DLF5 on May 19. The club house of the area was buzzing with excitement as a play was staged for their entertainment and to give them a chance to interact with one another.

Through the eyes of fire, a play by theatre director Vikramjeet Sinha, received an overwhelming response from the audience. SC Madhok, a resident of Exclusive Floors, said, “We liked the play a lot. The children depicted the story of Mahabharata extremely well. We find mythology really interesting. And it’s such a welcome change to step out of our house for events where old memories get refreshed.”

Major General (Retd) Bijon Roye, a resident of Trinity Towers, said, “Being a retired defence officer and having been on the battlefield, I could relate to the play. The sound and light effects were perfect, and it was an amazing evening.”

The occasion was part of an initiative to hold bi-monthly events to provide senior citizens a chance to socialise and build bonds.
