With a railway overbridge (ROB) ready for inauguration, resident of Gurgaon going to Dwarka will soon find the traffic less congested. The overbridge lies on the 27-kilometre long Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), popularly known as Dwarka Expressway, which will connect Dwarka with Manesar toll.

Yashpal Yadav, Haryana Urban Development Authority administrator, said, “The ROB has a length of 1,300 metres and is an impressive six-lane stretch. It will facilitate commuting from Delhi and Gurgaon to Manesar.”

Anil Kumar, a resident of Bilaspur, told City Spidey, “I often travel to Dwarka. The bridge is a blessing for me because the traffic makes commuting tiresome.”

As the bridge is set to be inaugurated soon, provisions are being made to block the entry to it as of now.

“We are ready to open the bridge to commuters and are following up with the Chief Minister to inaugurate it,” said Yadav.

Now, under the National Highway Authority of India, the bridge is undergoing finishing touches such as signage and beautification.
