Time to improve Ghaziabad's law and order situation

Members of FedAOA, the apex body of Apartment Owners Association in Ghaziabad, met Ram Kumar, IG of Meerut zone over the the unchanging law-and-order situation in the city.

Speaking to City Spidey, Alok Kumar, patron of FedAOA, said residents were hopeful of some improvements in the law-and-order situation in the city after the change in UP government, but nothing has changed so far. “There is news of snatchings, loots at gun-point and car thefts every other day,” added Kumar.

“We have also requested him to look into the verification process of tenants and domestic help seriously, as the issue pertains to the safety and security of residents of high-rise societies. We also requested the IG to conduct interactive sessions with the residents so that he can understand the residents’ concerns better. The IG assured us of looking into the matter and also conducting interactive sessions with the residents,” added Kumar.

Resident of high-rise societies told City Spidey that there was a major communication gap between the local police and them. The members of FedAOA also urged the IG to ensure proper police-people coordination.
