We are taking about DLF’s New Town Heights in Sector 90. Yes! The verdant gardens of this condominium stand in stark contrast to the harsh brown of the city that’s fast choking its green lungs.

Have you been to DLF Gardencity? We meant DLF’s New Town Heights in Sector 90.

The verdant gardens of this condominium stand in stark contrast to a city which is fast losing its green cover to rapid infrastructural and residential development.

“We have received lot of appreciation for our lush green gardens. Not just the residents, outsiders too have admired our green landscape,” said Dinesh Yadav, property manager.

The garden offers a central view from all towers. Adding to the charm are green belts around the condominium. Mercury lights in wrought iron glass lamps complete the look.

Bishan Singh, supervisor to a nine-member team of gardeners, ensures that hedges and grass are maintained and trimmed on time.

One plant common to all DLF properties is Phycus Palms, and New Town Heights is no exception.

“At Gardencity, we have Gulmohar, Champa, Panda and Tricoma — both yellow and orange varieties. For the hedges, we use Anarby. It grows a lot faster than others hence we can change the design of the hedge frequently. The grass used is also the best quality. We use okhla and gobar khaad to help the plants bloom and keep healthy,” explained Bishan.

Here’s more. The gardens use the water from the sewage treatment plant, so there’s zero water wastage.
