The road repair work on Bakhtawar Chowk in Gurgaon, which began on June 9, caused long traffic snarls, especially during morning and evening office hours.

Bakhtawar Chowk is one of the main junctions and with heavy traffic from all the sides, the repair work caused commuters a delay of 30 minutes.

Suchitra Maan, a resident of Malibu Towne, Sector 47, told City Spidey, “The repair work has increased the travel time. Fearing the traffic, I left my house early for office today.”

“There is some road repair work or construction work going on everywhere in the city. I hope this is completed in time and the road is not just left dug-up,” said Vishal Kapoor, a resident of Sector 46.

When City Spidey spoke to Balbir Singh, DCP (traffic), he said, “Traffic personnel are deployed for the smooth flow of traffic. We need to bear with a little inconvenience when we know something constructive is being done for us.”

The junction leads to important roads and areas such as NH8, Sohna Road, Medanta - The Medicity hospital, Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), HUDA City Centre Metro Station, Nirvana Country and Malibu Towne
