Residents of Homes 121, a residential society in Sector 121, Noida, are demanding a traffic signal near the CNG pump in Sector 120. Residents also tweeted to Noida traffic police to press their demand.

In the absence of a traffic signal, residents say, the vehicles move in both directions on the road during peak traffic hours and also after sundown, increasing chances of accidents. Residents also face problems in entering and exiting the society.

Abhay Pandey, a resident of Homes 121, told City Spidey that during peak hours it gets very dangerous for pedestrians. “In the past four months, six major accidents have taken place,” he added.

Pandey has also written several letters to authorities, but no action has been taken so far.

When City Spidey contacted Vikas Jaiswal, circle officer, Noida traffic police, he said, “We have seen the Twitter message. The department is now working to solve the problem. Traffic signals are installed by Noida Authority, and I will send a proposal to them shortly.”
