Residents say they are tired of dealing with the builder to get work done.
Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) will release the Deficiency Assessment Report (DAR) of Palam Vihar in the coming week. The report will be published on its website. This step is part of MCG’s takeover of nine private colonies for maintenance, an initiative by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
The DAR will record the current status of sanitation, sewage, water supply, open spaces and common areas, and where work is needed. It will then be handed over to the builder to either complete the repair or do the remaining work within six months or transfer funds to MCG to complete it.
“A copy of the report will be sent to the developer," said V Umashankar, MCG commissioner. "The DARs for DLF localities will be published in the coming weeks.”
MCG will meet Ansals Buildwell, the Palam Vihar developer, to decide the course of action after the DAR is released.
“Residents keep complaining about the poor condition of roads and sanitation,” said Bhim Yadav, president of the Sector 22 RWA. “We are desperately waiting for MCG to take over.”
VMK Singh, general secretary of Suncity RWA, said they were tired of dealing with the builder to get work done. “We just hope the transfer is done soon, so we can finally have the basic amenities we are deprived of.”
The nine private colonies that will be taken over by MCG are DLF phases I, II and III; Sushant Lok Phase I; Palam Vihar; South City I and II; Ardee City and Suncity.
