Through a recently launched app named E-nivaran, residents can pay their electricity bills online.
How can consumers across Uttar Pradesh generate their own electricity bills and pay the sum online? Through an app named E-nivaran.
Launched recently by the electricity department of Gautam Budh Nagar, the app will also allow consumers of Noida and Greater Noida to lodge complaints.
Residents can check their bills online and make payments via debit and credit cards. Consumers no longer need to visit the electricity office to deposit their bills.
The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
After downloading, consumers will need to type out the account number written on the bill. An e-mail and password will be generated, after which the system will verify the user's details. After the creation of the account number and user ID, electricity bill, bill payment, complaints and new information options can be accessed on the homepage.
Gajendra Singh, an official of the electricity department, said, “Consumers will feed their bill account number to generate the bill. The page will open once the account number is entered. All information regarding the bill will then be provided on the mobile application. Consumers can then go to the option of payment and pay by debit or credit card.”
This app, launched by the UP government, will be launched in other districts as well.
