Dwarka: Health Minister visits hospital project site

Satendra Jain, the health minister of Delhi, visited the construction site of the multispeciality 750-bed hospital in Sector 9, Dwarka. Gulab Singh Yadav, MLA from Matiala, and PWD officials accompanied him during the visit.

Jain interacted with the site engineers, who briefed him on the project status. He asked the engineers to complete the project by this year. 

According to sources, the hospital was announced by the Sheila Dixit government but it got delayed. It was only after Aam Aadmi Party came to power that the project started. The project budget was increased and the number of beds was increased from 700 to 750.  Sources also informed that the hospital was supposed to be ready by May 2017.

"I hope that the hospital is ready by 2018," said Rejimon CK, president of Dwarka Forum. "Dwarka needs this hospital."
