Shipra Krishna Vista: No primary school, parking to remain intact

Posted: Jul 17, 2017     By Abid Hussain Barlaskar

In a general meeting of residents of Shipra Krishna Vista, the AOA and residents decided against the construction of the primary school in the society and the demolition of the central lawn. The decision of the residents came following the Allahabad High Court’s directive to decide on the construction or demolition of certain structures of the project. However, residents said the project was still incomplete, with a lot of deficiencies and as per its master plan. The AOA had taken the builder to court over issues of incomplete amenities of the society and the court had issued the directives in a recent hearing of the case.

The general body of residents agreed on the fact the school was a basic requirement when the project was launched in 2005, as no such amenities were available in the neighbourhood. However, the availability of good schools in the neighbourhood now has ruled out the necessity of another primary school within the society’s compound and would create discomfort for the residents. However, the residents and AOA members maintained that the builder had grossly violated rules by not providing facilities which were promised at the time of sale and had also illegally sold a parking area by creating a stilt parking under the park which deprived residents of natural open space.

AOA members said that on behalf of all residents, they would appeal to the court to not order the demolishing or constructing of any additional facility. They, however, requested heavy penalty on  the builder and the GDA for violation of norms.

Speaking to City Spidey, Deepak Sethi, an AOA member of the society, said the decisions were taken by the residents and would be presented to the court in the next hearing of their case against the builder and the GDA.
