Gurgaon: House burgled in Sector 46

A house in Sector 46 was ransacked yesterday morning while the occupants were away at work.

An FIR has been filed with the Sector 50 police station.

The house was given out on rent to a couple — both working with software companies. The man, Neeraj Sheoran, had left for office with his wife.

When Neeraj’s mother came home after picking up her granddaughter from school, she found the front door forced open.

“The thieves have stolen our laptops, watches, jewellery, a DSLR and Rs 10,000,” said Sheoran, who has asked for CCTV footage from the neighbours and the RWA.

Speaking to City Spidey, Sheoran said, “The footage shows two people on a bike — one of them holding a handbag. We will look at the footage from other cameras too.”

Sheoran also mentioned that three men who would be seen around the house in front of theirs, where some construction work was going on, have been missing since the incident.

Speaking to City Spidey, Raj Kumar Yadav, RWA president, said, "A lot of construction work is happening in the colony. People need to be careful. We request residents to get verification done before they employ someone. We’ll provide whatever help we can to solve the crime."

The police have refused to divulge any details.
