In a bid to ensure better traffic flow, Alok Sinha, chairman of Noida Authority, met with officials in the Sector 6 office and issued orders to free the roads of encroachment.

Sinha also directed Amit Mohan Prasad, chief executive officer of Noida Authority, to make a "drainage master plan" to rid the city of waterlogging and formulate a policy to regulate the roadside hoardings.

An official of Noida Authority told City Spidey that encroachments were responsible for traffic jams. “Sinha has also ordered a survey that will identify encroached roads where there is excessive traffic congestion during peak hours,” he added.

Another official said that Sinha had asked officials to resolve builder-buyer issues and that he had specifically asked for a report on it.

Noida Authority had started triparty meeting with buyers and builders on April 10. Forty such meetings were held. During these meetings, officials had asked builders to submit project reports. However, only a few builders had complied.

More than one lakh buyers are suffering due to delay in possession of flats and about 65 projects have been stalled.
