Sec 36 Noida will have its own RWA office

Sector 36, Noida, will finally have its own RWA office.

But this comes after four years of rigorous exchange of letters with Noida Authority and continuous follow-ups with it. The Authority has finally issued a sanction letter for the RWA office and allotted a 500-sq m plot of land for its construction.

So far, the Sector 36 RWA had to conduct meetings in a small room at the community centre, originally allotted to the Kendriya Karamchari Sangthan. RWA members said the room was hardly big enough to accommodate five people at a time, forcing them to hold meetings in parks and various society flats.

Dr Anju Pachauri, general secretary of the RWA, told City Spidey, “We are happy now that we have a sanction for the new office. This will lead to improved productivity of RWA members.”

HN Singh, project engineer of Noida Authority, said construction would start May end on the plot allotted near the Shiv Mandir park. “A budget of Rs 50 lakh has been approved for the construction, and the project will likely be completed by the end of November,” he added.
