Gurgaon, Sec 46: Rains can now become enjoyable for park goers

The RWA of Sector 46, Gurgaon, is indeed going the extra mile to provide amenities to park goers.  After the modernisation of Adarsh Park, they are now focusing on other parks.

In the latest development, the RWA has made provisions for garden umbrellas to be put in two more parks that are being upgraded. One is the Sadbhawna Park and other is the Rao Tula Ram Park. Each of these parks will have one rain shelter, where people can sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of monsoons.

These round rain shelters shall measure 22 ft in both length and breadth. The estimated cost is Rs 3 lakh.

“We will put iron benches under the umbrellas and paint them. Each umbrella will also have a fan. And on the floor of the shelter, we have decided to have tiles,” informs RWA president Raj Kumar Yadav.

The decision of installing rain shelters in these parks was taken because the rain shelter at Adarsh Park has been a huge attraction for the residents of Sector 46, particularly with the senior citizens.

“During the monsoons, these shelters are truly a blessing. With birds chirping in the vicinity and well-maintained lawns in sight, these shelters are the ideal place to sit in,” says Lalit Arora, a frequent visitor to Adarsh Park.
