Purvanchal Royal Park, Noida: Guards rough up residents

In a shocking incident, security guards of Purvanchal Royal Park, a high-rise in Sector 137, Noida, beat up residents during a scuffle.

The incident took place close to midnight on Sunday, and the whole episode has been captured by CCTV cameras installed on the premises. The footage shows half-a-dozen security guards roughing up two residents of the society.

According to Vyom Chibber, one of the victims, a guard named Pramod provoked the rest of the guards to beat him up. Surprisingly, the victims alleged that the RWA, too, was speaking in favour of the security guards.

The police is yet to initiate any serious action against the perpetrators.

The Chibbers have been living in the society — Flat 1303 of Tower 4 — for the last one-and-a-half years.  According to Vivek Chibber, Vyom’s father, absence of the society’s parking sticker on their car started the whole thing, but soon the situation spiralled out of control.

Vyom's grandparents had come to the society some 15 days back and their vehicle, a Toyota Innova, did not have a parking sticker issued for society residents. Chibber, however, maintained that his son would regularly bring the vehicle into the society and park it inside.

“All of a sudden they stopped the vehicle at the gates on Sunday, and started a scuffle with my son and later beat him up. We have also lodged a complaint with the police,” recounted the father.
