The RWA federation of Ghaziabad has come up with a unique idea to support the odd-even scheme, in effect from today till April 30 in Delhi.
The federation has created a WhatsApp group called "Buddy Spirits" to encourage Delhi-bound commuters to car pool. The group acts as a platform for Ghaziabad residents who want to carpool to work. The contact number for the group is 9911177105. All car owners are encouraged to use the group at least for the next 15 days.
The chairman of the RWA federation of Ghaziabad, Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, said, "We are positive it will help residents carpool during the odd-even scheme."
Apart from this WhatsApp group to promote the odd-even scheme, the federation has also been organising a car-free day on the 10th of every month.
