Ghaziabad

In contrast to this, last year’s figures for the corresponding period stood at 73 deaths in 182 accidents. Traffic department cited poor condition of roads, dysfunctional traffic signals and lack of traffic cops among others as reasons for the spike in road mishaps.

NTPC seeks treated sewage: The NTPC has sought permission of the executive engineer of the Ghaziabad Waterworks Department to supply treated sewage from Ghaziabad sewage treatment plants to its Dadri plant 110MLD. The treated sewage is currently allowed to flow into the Hindon river. The corporation wants to use it for its operations in the Dadri plant.

Gurugram

Weeklong traffic diversion trial: Cars coming from Delhi will be stopped from using the left turn at the Signature Towers intersection on the expressway next week. MCG will oversee the weeklong trial. For alternate route, motorists will have to turn left into Leisure Valley road, just before the Signature Towers exit in order to reach the Signature Towers road.
