The construction of the brand new Hindon Pushta road connecting Indirapuram to Ghaziabad is drawing to a close and the road will be made open for vehicles by the first week of May.

Shobhit, an official of the irrigation department, said, “Construction work for the road will be completed soon and it will be open for usage by the first week of May.”

Travelling to Ghaziabad will be more convenient for residents of Indirapuram. They will be able to bypass the usual traffic jam on NH 24. Construction work has been underway to complete the four-kilometre stretch from Hindon Pushta Ahinsa Khand II to Chhijarsi.

Moreover, the road will be a boon for people living near the Pushta road as it would mean an end to the pollution caused by vehicles passing by. Earlier, due to the poor condition of the road, vehicular traffic kicked up a lot of dust in the area.

The societies that will benefit the most are Arihant Harmony, Niho Scottish gardens, Arihant Paradise, Angel Mercury, Shri Balaji Residency, Exotica Elegance, Jyoti Super Gardenia and Vijaya Apartments.

DK Maurya, a resident of Niho Scottish Gardens, which is a society located right next to the road, said that the road was a “golden gift” to the residents and came with benefits like connectivity and reduced pollution. "It is the result of much persuasion and follow up to the GDA and the irrigation department. Residents had held several meetings and written letters to the authorities to get it done. They have finally succeeded," added Maurya.
