Four people escaped a gruesome death as a lift at the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation plunged from the third floor to the basement. The incident took place on Monday afternoon. Thankfully, all four people trapped in the lift were rescued without any serious injury.
The lift had ascended to the third floor, where the mayor's office is located, when it malfunctioned. The reason behind the incident is still unknown.
Ashu Verma, mayor of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, has ordered a probe into the incident. "It is a serious issue and an intense investigation will be conducted," he told City Spidey.
